The New York Cosmos return to action in the North American Soccer League (NASL) for the first time in thirty years against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers in the Cosmos' home opener on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Shuart Stadium at Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY. "Legends Night" included introductions and ceremonies honoring Cosmos legendary former players Pele, Carlos Alberto and Shep Messing.
